Artist Profile

As an artistic professional, I’m always looking for the next opportunity  to translate what I experience into art.  My paintings are concerned with figuration and the representation of the world.  I am interested in composition and the way that colour, line, mark and texture can be used to evoke an emotion.

I am intrigued by the idea that paintings can be read providing layers of meaning in relation to the sitter.

My work often makes reference to art history, literature, classicism and symbolism to conjure a narrative or an emotional response to the sitter.
